We have been blessed with the opportunity to work with KSM Memo! Here is our interview with them where we got to know them better!
Tell us about yourself! What should people know about you?
I’m a very diverse music artist from San Diego, California. I grew up in the South East in Barrio Logan which has a lot of influence on my music from the culture and the vibe to the things I lived through. I’ve been writing, recording and putting out music since 2016 but I just recently did a rebranding. I basically whipped the slate clean, changed my name, and started fresh so I could do everything right this time.
How long have you been making music and what or who inspired you to do so?
I've been making music for about nine years now. My biggest inspiration were the people I grew up with which included a lot of rappers. They really showed me the ropes when it came to freestyling, writing, and recording. I’m also really inspired by my surroundings. San Diego is such a beautiful city with so much going on it’s hard to not be inspired.
We are aware not everyone makes music the same. What is your creative process like?
My creative process is really quick to be honest. If I hear a beat or see something I write until I can’t anymore. Writing really comes naturally to me, so I can usually finish writing a within twenty five minutes. Then I book a studio session and record, mix, and master everything that night.
Is there any advice you would give to upcoming artists?
Stay consistent. If you’re not doing things to get your name or music out to the people then the people will never hear it. You should also really focus on having a presence on social media. Post every day. Interaction is key whether it’s on you, post another artist, or post a blog. Make sure they remember you.
Who would you say is the best artist of all time?
My top two: Me, then Frank Sinatra.
