Cali Avenue Promotions Announces AfroVibes International Japan 2026 Edition
September 27, 2026 — Cali Avenue Promotions LLC officially announces the AfroVibes International Japan 2026 Edition, returning to Japan for a four-city series across Kyoto, Osaka, Okinawa, and Tokyo this November.
Founded in Los Angeles in 2022 by Todd Franklin II, Cali Avenue Promotions is an international event planning and promotion company specializing in live entertainment, nightlife, cultural experiences, and creative events. Through AfroVibes International, the company has built a growing global platform centered around Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, Amapiano, and Dancehall while creating spaces for Black diaspora communities and international audiences to connect through music.
The 2026 Japan Edition marks the brand's return to the country where AfroVibes first established its international footprint.
AfroVibes Returns to Japan
AfroVibes first launched its Japan Edition in 2025, bringing events to Kyoto, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Okinawa before expanding into Vietnam and other international markets.
The 2026 edition builds on that foundation with a four-city run designed to bring the AfroVibes experience back to Japanese nightlife while working with local DJs, hosts, artists, creatives, and nightlife communities in each market.

Each event will feature a rotating lineup of local and international DJs, hosts, and performers delivering a blend of Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, Amapiano, and Dancehall throughout the night.

Japan holds a unique place in the history of AfroVibes International.
The country was one of the first international markets where Cali Avenue Promotions developed a repeatable nightlife model, working alongside local talent and venues while introducing audiences to a broader celebration of African and Caribbean sounds.
The 2025 Japan Edition ultimately became one of the foundational chapters of the AfroVibes story, with events spanning multiple cities and helping establish relationships that continue into the 2026 edition.
Since then, AfroVibes has expanded its reach beyond Japan into Vietnam, the United Kingdom, France, and other international markets.
The Japan 2026 Edition represents a return to those roots while introducing a more developed international event model.
