Los Angeles, CA — September 2025 – AfroVibes International, the rapidly growing global cultural movement, is officially making its United States debut in Los Angeles with the AfroVibes LA Cultural Weekend, taking place September 18–20, 2025. The three-day series will feature dance, nightlife, and cultural exchange, bringing together communities through music, movement, and shared experiences.

Following a highly successful run of events across Asia — including Japan and Vietnam — AfroVibes International is expanding to the U.S. with its first stateside edition in Los Angeles. The weekend will showcase AfroVibes’ signature blend of culture and entertainment, highlighting the diversity and creativity that defines Los Angeles.

Event Lineup

September 18, 2025 – Dance Class with CJ The Hitta at Eighty Eight Studios

The weekend begins with an open-level hip-hop dance class led by Los Angeles choreographer CJ The Hitta. Designed for all experience levels, the class will focus on rhythm, choreography, and confidence-building through movement.

September 19, 2025 – AfroVibes LA: Afrobeats & Hip-Hop Party at The Reserve

The centerpiece of the weekend will be the official U.S. debut of AfroVibes International, held in the Vault Room at The Reserve in downtown Los Angeles. This nightlife experience will fuse Afrobeats and Hip-Hop, showcasing top DJs and performers in an atmosphere that celebrates cross-cultural connection.

September 20, 2025 – Japanese Language & Food Experience with Yukie Kitahara at Ox Bone Ramen

The series concludes with an intimate cultural session led by Yukie Kitahara, Tokyo native and manager of Ox Bone Ramen. Attendees will learn beginner-level Japanese phrases while enjoying a signature ramen dish and beverage. This unique event blends language, food, and cultural discovery in a relaxed setting.

A Global Vision Expands to the U.S.

AfroVibes International was founded with the mission of uniting communities worldwide through culture, creativity, and celebration. Since launching in April 2025, AfroVibes has hosted events in multiple Asian cities and has rapidly built a global following.

“Los Angeles is the ideal city for our U.S. debut,” said AfroVibes founder Todd Franklin II. “It represents diversity, innovation, and cultural influence on a global scale. AfroVibes LA Cultural Weekend will set the tone for our future in the United States.”
